Quote of the Week
"When
two people decide to get a divorce, it isn't a sign that they "don't
understand" one another, but a sign that they have, at last,
begun to." Helen Rowland

...admit
to yourself that
you are where you are—in a place of uncertainty or confusion
or doubt, in a time of reevaluation and reassessment, in a process
of transformation and rebirth. From HOW DID I GET HERE by

Welcome to Finding Life (and Love...) After Divorce
Divorce
stinks. There is no other way to put it. Several years ago,
I felt the same way when my marriage of over
twenty years came to an end for
reasons I still
do not understand. After
several months of moping and looking for shoulders to lean on, I
decided that moving
on with my life was a better choice.
Divorce
can be the start of a new, exciting time, even
if it is the end of life as you
have
known
it for the last few years. Since my own breakup, I have become
an avid motorcyclist, found a new, wonderful partner, completed
a
12,000
km tour of Canada
and the US on my new bike, and started several websites. Life is
good!
This
site is intended to help others through this difficult time and provide
articles and resources that support the notion that divorce does
not have to be the end; it can be a new beginning. Hopefully, it
will help provide you with the confidence to find a new life (and
maybe even a new love) regardless of your age. If you have stumbled
across this site and have never been married or divorced, you might
discover something interesting anyway!
Grab a coffee and
look around.
It Just Doesn't Matter!
The
book that started it all! After
going through my own divorce, I wrote a short e-book about my post-divorce
experiences and starting over. This is a sometimes serious, sometimes
light-hearted look at beginning over again later in life. From
dealing with the ex to dating advice, I have covered a wide range
of topics. And as the title states, in the big scheme of things, "It
Just Doesn't Matter."
"You have inspired me greatly with your book, providing an easy to read and take-in message that I desperately needed to hear."
